Summary
Our local Fundraising Groups are made up of a minimum of 3 volunteers (not from the same family) who work together to raise funds and awareness of Help for HeroDetailed description
• Leading and motivating a team of volunteers and helpers
• Organising and facilitating regular meetings with the members of the group to plan, co-ordinate and deliver fundraising events and activities
• Actively sourcing and registering own fundraising events with the charity
• Organising and delivering fundraising events and activities, ensuring they are safe and following Help for Heroes policies
• Delegating tasks effectively, ensuring group members are clear on responsibilities
The Fundraising Group Lead will be responsible for:
• Collecting, counting and banking monies in accordance with our Money Handling Policy.
• Maintaining accurate records of monies raised • Promoting own events and activities through various channels
• Engaging with local businesses and organisations to support your events and activities
• Building and maintaining relationships with members of the community
• Talking to supporters at events, giving talks about the charity or collecting cheques on behalf of Help for Heroes
• Representing Help for Heroes at our hosted collections and events and to help us grow support in the heart of the community
• Actively promote Help for Heroes and increase awareness in your local community
