Summary

Reading articles from Bucks Free Press that are recorded and sent out to print-disabled residents

Detailed description

WE are looking for new readers for our service which is recorded every Friday evening, but individual readers are only needed once a month or so as we have 4 teams of readers. We have a small studio where the recordings take place.

WE need people with attractive voices, male or female and any age, must be confident in reading aloud from printed material.

You'll be joining a group of people who are committed to making life better for blind and visually impaired and other print disabled citizens by keeping them in touch with what's going on in their local communities. It's a really valuable service which they enjoy greatly.

If you are interested get in touch and we'll have a chat and follow up with a sound test and some training. Then you're ready to read!

About South Bucks Talking News

We are dedicated to bringing local news to those in the southern part of Buckinghamshire who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise unable to read the news through a disability. Our teams record articles every week from the Bucks Free Press Group and other local journals covering southern Buckinghamshire. The recordings are copied onto small USB memory sticks and posted on Saturday in specially designed plastic envelopes to recipients, who can then listen at their convenience at home. The service is entirely free to listeners.
