The Community Outreach Volunteer at RSASS plays a crucial role in raising awareness, providing information, and ensuring survivors of sexual violence and abuse can access the support they need. This role involves engaging with local communities, organisations, and professionals to promote RSASS services, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for survivors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attending community events, schools, and workplaces to deliver awareness sessions on consent, healthy relationships, and available support services.
- Distributing materials and resources to ensure people know how to access help.
- Supporting outreach campaigns, including the 16 Days of Activism and local awareness initiatives.
- Engaging with hard-to-reach communities to ensure diverse voices are heard.
This volunteer role is ideal for compassionate individuals committed to making a difference. With training and ongoing support, Community Outreach Volunteers help create safer, more informed communities where survivors feel believed and supported.
