About Chesham Community Fridge

The Chesham Community Fridge is a non-profit charity project that redistributes surplus food to the local community of Chesham that would otherwise become food waste. We aim to relieve pressures on household food budgets, provide a community area that fosters sharing and collaboration, reduce local business food waste, and raise public awareness around this food issue. The project is run under the auspices of Kings Church Chesham in conjunction with the Hubbub Foundation. A team of volunteers collect food each week (most days) from M&S, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsburys, local allotments, coffee shops. We also receive food from The Felix Project, food received from suppliers, farms, restaurants. The food is packed into bags and distributed twice a week (Wed & Sat mornings).
