Shopper Volunteer – Be Someone's Guide and Make a Real Difference
Do you enjoy shopping and helping others? As a Shopper Volunteer, you’ll provide vital support to blind and partially sighted people, helping them with their shopping while acting as their eyes and guide. Whether it’s a regular grocery run or helping pick out clothes or gifts, your assistance will make an incredible difference in their day-to-day life.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accompanying visually impaired individuals on shopping trips and helping them make their purchases.
- Driving them to and from home or meeting at an agreed time and place.
- Acting as a sighted guide, assisting with choosing and purchasing items, and potentially helping put them away at home.
Where and when?
- Flexible arrangements: times and days are agreed between you and the client to suit both your schedules.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Caring, friendly, and patient.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Reliable, conscientious, and able to commit long-term (minimum of 6 months).

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, as it involves supporting vulnerable adults one-on-one.
