What we need you to do

Our Disability Support volunteers work as part of a team to engage the children and young people with the activities we offer. They help us to set up, facilitate and pack up activities, clean and tidy, play and chat with the children, get involved and have fun. They can contribute to the planning of activities, and aid the team to make sure everyone is included and the environment is safe, all with the goal of creating an amazing experience for the child.

Typical Session: Arrive at venue, discuss children and read their profiles with the Team Leader. Spend 3 hours at venue with the children doing activities, e.g. jump on a trampoline, make playdough, or read a story with a child. After children get picked up, attend debrief and write observation notes.

When we run sessions:

Saturday and Sunday – 08.45-13.00 or 13.00-17.15

Tuesday and Thursday - 16.15-18.15-or 17.00-19.15 or 18.30-20.45
