Summary

Civilian Instructors deliver a range of activities to our Cadets depending on your skills and experience. Full training is provided.

Detailed description

Civilian Instructors support the Squadron in various ways, so you could be involved in:

● delivering specialist training such as first aid or adventure training;

● guiding cadets through our technical aerospace syllabus or running development projects;

● supporting the squadron through administrative tasks, event organising, or activity transport and supervision.

There is no minimum weekly commitment, but you are encouraged to attend as many of the twice weekly evening sessions and various weekend activities as you like.

Our joining process involves a Disclosure and Baring Service check to ensure you are suitable to work with children, and there would be a commitment to complete induction training during your first six months and maintain your mandatory training throughout your time with us.

Further development and specialist training is available to all adult volunteers and, should you wish to, there are opportunities to go into uniformed Officer or NCO roles.

This role is suitable for those interested in a longer term commitment, so would not suit those seeking a short term volunteer project.
